Could you recommend a budget tripod for use with a pair of Celeston 25x100 binoculars?

Q. Could you recommend a tripod for use with a pair of Celeston 25x100 binoculars?

A. The binoculars you mention (and most "observation" binoculars like them) incorporate a tripod adapter for the support that is needed due to their weight and the level of magnification.

This permits the use of a photographic tripod using the standard connection thread of 1/4", as long as it's load bearing specificaton is 7kg or more. Please note that a good number of budget/lighter weight tripods may have a lower specification, so it is worth checking manufacturer's specification.

If you need to buy a tripod/head there is a big range at different price points available, but 7kg is quite a high load figure. There are many tripods below ¬£100 that unfortunately do not meet that specification.

We would recommend the following that would meet the weight requirement -  Manfrotto MK055XPRO3 Tripod and XPRO Ball Head with 200PL Plate
